I drink a lot of coffee. Probably far too much but it keeps me going on grewling rides. There was a time when I'd stop at a cafe from time to time, but this takes up valuable time and, depending on which country I'm in, it can really eat into the budget.
Now I've had a few insulated mugs in the past and they are largely a disappointment. You get maybe an hour from them before the drink is cold, but not this one! I don't know how they do it but it defies the laws of physics. I once made a coffee at Heathrow airport, which I was still drinking hot as I walked out into the sunshine at Geneva. In hot weather I fill it with ice and water which has become a real life saver.
The Camelbak Forge is a stainless steel flask/cup which works. 4 hours after filling it you still have to be careful not to burn your mouth. With it's reinforced base it's built like a tank. I've dropped mine many times over the decade I've had it and it's still going strong. If you do ever manage to break it, their customer support, along with the "Got Your Bak™ Lifetime Guarantee" is second to none.
It has a trigger mouthpiece that allows for a quick sip even when riding with gloves(on a quiet road) and it seals so well I have no qualms about sticking it in my tank bag with everything else. It also flips out for easy cleaning.
The Forge comes in two sizes - 12oz and 16oz. The bigger the better as far as I'm concerned.
